    Welcome to International Smart Space Exhibition (ISSE)

    The 2nd edition of International Smart Space Exhibition (ISSE) will take palce from 23 - 27 September 2026 at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center, held in conjunction with the Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE).

    Hangzhou’s vibrant atmosphere for science and innovation has fostered many prominent technology companies, including the internet giant Alibaba Group and emerging firms such as the AI start-up DeepSeek. Meanwhile, Hangzhou is leveraging its strengths and collaborating with several innovative technology companies to launch the “Hangzhou City Brain 3.0” initiative.

    The digital economy is driving the upgrade and transformation of various industries, with smart space, which integrates reality with digital technology to advance smart living, intelligent buildings, technological innovation, urban governance, and sustainable development. In view of Hangzhou's potential in the digital economy, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and Hangzhou Expo Group team up to host  International Smart Space Exhibition (ISSE), as a standalone fair within the Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center, China. 

    ISSE will join forces with leading smart space brands, technology enterprises, experts, scholars, urban managers, and innovators to explore how cutting-edge technologies such as sensing systems, data collection, and data analytics that can be leveraged to enable space self-perception, self-adaptation, and self-optimization. With its robust digital infrastructure, strong technological innovation, diverse real-world applications, and an open, inclusive industry ecosystem, Hangzhou stands as a benchmark for intelligent urban governance and pioneering smart space solutions.

    We organised a delegation of councillors from Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, to ISSE, focusing on future technologies. As policymakers supporting technology enterprises, they showed keen interest in China’s advancements in AI, big data, and Large Language Models. While South Korea focuses on urban surveillance, China’s smart cities are integrated into daily life, providing valuable insights for us. This visit provided a great opportunity to connect with local companies, and we are considering returning next year.

    We actively engage in the smart city network and promote this concept across other ASEAN countries. On this visit to ISSE, we are joined by local government representatives from Indonesia’s five largest cities, seeking to collaborate with international partners. This event has already helped us to strengthen our relationship with the local government in Hangzhou. We’ve also participated in several meetings and business matchmaking meetings. I look forward to attending the next edition.

    Our goal at ISSE was to explore business opportunities and build partnerships with leading technology companies. The experience was very rewarding, with many attendees visiting our stand for consultations and discussions. Digital technologies have vast potential in architectural spaces, particularly in energy-efficient office environments. By digitally managing energy use in areas such as lighting and air conditioning, businesses can achieve significant improvements in efficiency and sustainability, paving the way for promising market opportunities.

    CTP specialises in smart parking services and is dedicated to enhancing global visibility. ISSE is highly appealing to international clients, with themes that closely align with our strategy for expanding into global markets. We took part in several business matchmaking sessions, establishing initial contacts with multiple overseas partners. We also connected with key target clients from Hangzhou and the Zhejiang region, making it a highly productive experience.

    Our booth presented smart gerontechnology and commercial spaces integrated with the metaverse. ISSE drew a significant number of visitors, with about 30% of attendees coming from overseas, many showing strong interest in the integration of intelligent systems into daily life. Beyond showcasing products, the event played a key role in engaging with potential users and promoting the smart space industry.
